It's almost Oscar time so we rented North Country with Charlize Theron.
It's about a woman who gets a job in a mine in the 80's and because only red-neck uneducated men worked there, she and her fellow woman workers were not treated with any respect. She decides that she should be allowed to work for a living to support her children without fear of abuse/assault so she sues the company for allowing this harassment. Charlize Theron has been nominated for best actress.
It's a pretty powerful depiction of what some women had to put up with just to go to work and that they had to put up a significant fight to be taken seriously and to be considered equals with the men, and not just objects to be harassed.
Charlize Theron was good, but would have been better if she'd taken off her top. What a waste of an attractive actress. Two hours and no titties.
On an unrelated note, I'm going to Costa Rica for 10 days, so no updates until the 12th. I have to go pack.
